FIREKEEPERS CASINO HOTEL CHAMPIONSHIP ANNOUNCES 2026 SPONSOR EXEMPTIONS

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (May 26, 2026) FireKeepers Casino Hotel proudly announces the selection of three talented golfers to fill sponsorship exemption spots for the upcoming 13th annual FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship. Part of the Epson Tour – Road to the LPGA, this prestigious event will bring world-class women’s professional golf to The Medalist Golf Club June 12–14. Sports fans from across the region are encouraged to experience the tournament’s inaugural year in Marshall, MI and enjoy a full weekend of competition and family-friendly entertainment with free admission throughout the event.

The first exemption has been awarded to Chaille Payne, an 18-year-old amateur from Spring Lake, Michigan. A senior at Forest Hills Northern High School, Payne has quickly risen through the ranks of Michigan junior golf, earning All-State honors and multiple All-Conference selections. She has demonstrated strong performances in statewide and national qualifiers and will continue her golf career at the University of Findlay this fall. Having taken up the game just five years ago, Payne’s rapid development and passion for golf highlight her as one of the state’s most promising young players.

Kamryn Shannon has been granted the second exemption. A standout student-athlete at Ferris State University, Shannon has established herself as one of the top competitors in NCAA Division II golf. She holds the lowest career scoring average in program history and has earned multiple All-Conference honors while competing at a national level. With several collegiate victories and consistent top finishes, Shannon is recognized not only for her performance on the course, but also for her leadership and involvement within the golf community.

The third exemption has been awarded to Jocelyn Bruch, a professional golfer and Purdue University alum. Bruch turned professional in 2025 and quickly advanced through LPGA Q-Series qualifying to earn status on the Epson Tour for the 2026 season. Her decorated amateur and collegiate career includes multiple championship appearances and record-setting performances, and she now brings that experience into the professional ranks as she continues pursuing her goal of competing at the highest level.

“One of the most rewarding parts of this event is being able to spotlight players at different stages of their journey,” said Roxanna Perez, Co-Tournament Director. “From rising amateurs to collegiate standouts and new professionals, these exemptions showcase the future of the game, and we’re proud to be part of that path.”

The 13th annual FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship will take place Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14 at The Medalist Golf Club. The tournament will feature more than 140 professional women golfers competing for a share of the $200,000 purse. As part of the Epson Tour – Road to the LPGA, the event serves as a premier pathway for players working to earn their place on the LPGA Tour.

“We are incredibly excited for this year’s FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship and to begin a new chapter for the tournament at The Medalist Golf Club,” said Ray Vorraber, Co-Tournament Director. “Bringing an event of this caliber to Marshall gives fans the opportunity to experience world-class women’s professional golf right here in their community. We look forward to welcoming players, fans, and families for what we believe will be an outstanding first year at our new home.”

Spectators are welcome, and admission is free. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit The Haven in Battle Creek, supporting its mission to provide shelter, meals, and essential services to individuals and families in need.
