(Battle Creek, Mich.) Sept. 22, 2025 — FireKeepers Casino Hotel is thrilled to announce the 13th annual FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship, taking place June 12–14, 2026, at a new home — The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan. As part of the Epson Tour – Road to the LPGA, this highly anticipated tournament will once again welcome the rising stars of women’s professional golf to compete for a $200,000 purse.
Everyone at FireKeepers sincerely salutes the management and members of Battle Creek Country Club, for twelve successful years of championship caliber golf, thousands of volunteer hours and the many residents who opened their homes to young women athletes.
FireKeepers hopes these valued volunteers will continue to support the tournament at the Medalist, while reaching out to the greater Marshall community to join forces to provide the rewarding participation of volunteers and host housing families.
“We are thrilled to bring this incredible event to The Medalist and continue growing its legacy,” said Frank Tecumseh, CEO of FireKeepers Casino Hotel. “While the location is new, our mission remains the same: to deliver world-class golf, exciting experiences for fans, and meaningful support to our community.”
At the Medalist, you’ll find a links-style course that has been exquisitely etched out of a landscape of almost 300 acres of rolling wooded land and wetlands. Players will enjoy a championship-level course, measuring almost 7,000 yards from the tips, designed in 1997-98 by Bill Newcomb, one of the area’s most renowned architects.
“The Medalist is proud to partner with FireKeepers Casino to host the 2026 FireKeepers Casino Epson Tour event. We are honored to continue the tradition they have built over the years, creating an unforgettable experience for both players and spectators. Our team is thrilled to welcome the future stars of the LPGA to our course, and we look forward to seeing how they rise to the challenge of competing on one of the region’s most demanding and dynamic courses,” said Lowell Weaver, Owner of The Medalist Golf Club.
The FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship remains committed to supporting local causes, with all net proceeds benefiting The Haven in Battle Creek. Serving hundreds daily, The Haven provides meals, emergency shelter, personal care, counseling, and recovery support, with specialized programs for veterans, families, and men with disabilities. This vital organization helps individuals and families overcome homelessness and hardship, and proceeds from the tournament help sustain these essential services.
“Each year, this tournament brings together players, fans, and the community in a powerful way,” said Roxanna Perez, Co-Tournament Director. “With our new location at The Medalist, we look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new supporters for another outstanding year of golf and giving.”
